Samir Deokuliar

 

Samir leads the team at Dwaar. Having worked as a Marketing Engineer in the corporate world for a few years Samir moved into social action and Spiritual service in 1993. For two decade Samir has offered his expertise in serving the Church, Charitable societies, and Leadership development programs.

Samir is a gifted Trainer and Public speaker who speaks on themes such as faith, human behavior and personality development. He has addressed audiences in various Conferences, Seminars, Churches, Schools and youth events across India, UK, US, Germany, South Africa, Ghana and the Gulf.

Samir is fluent in English and Hindi and you can tune in to his spiritual point of view on the daily TV show “Ek Nayee Zindagi” aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

Jackie his wife, who is a woman of God and is a graduate from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, supports Samir. Jackie plays a key role in building relationships, training young women and their home is open to strangers and friends alike. Jackie also leads the women’s prayer groups at Dwaar with great devotion and warmth.

They have two grown up children: Akshay and Rachna

 

Bhavin Shah

 

Bhavin is a Chartered Accountant with a Mathematics degree from Cambridge University, UK. He has played key roles in the corporate world for many years and is presently a Managing Director at Accenture and part of the Asia Pacific BPO leadership team. Bhavin walks the fine line between corporate deadlines and his passion for God with an inner peace and calm that can only come from knowing God.

Apart from excelling in his profession Bhavin has a real passion to see goodness and peace established in the lives of many who struggle in the ongoing rat race in the capital. Bhavin loves God and is committed to helping others know the truth as well.

Bhavin brings prophetic insight and wise counsel to the various challenges and difficult situations people face. He also delves into his astute Gujarati genes to effectively oversee the finances of Dwaar.

Bhavin is married to Steph, they are a very hospitable couple and extend an open home and a helping hand to many.

They have three teenage children: Tarun, Priya and Joel and a lovely Labrador dog called Poppy.

Tim Brown

 

Former British Naval Officer, Tim is a gifted administrator and a diligent implementer; he has a background in business and has worked for a number of major corporates including IBM.

As an experienced management consultant and trainer an ordinary day could see Tim breaking bread with Burmese refugees, retreating with other leaders to Normandy, speaking to influencers in Mongolia, cooking curry for friends in the UK and praying in the African bush country.

If that?s not enough, Tim heads Acumen Training Enterprise private Limited, a company based in Delhi that seeks to train and equip people from corporates to become more effective in their life and work.

Tim is married to Liz who is an English teacher and very passionate about helping all in need, especially the underprivileged who she seeks to empower with the English language. She can make a mean Pavlova when she is not teaching children or organizing mehendi sessions for women.

Tim and Liz have opened their New Delhi home to numerous visitors and they can often be spotted enjoying a curry at Karim's or atop an elephant in Jaipur.

They have three children and two grand- children.

Kailash Tayade

 

Kailash comes from Nashik, a growing town in Maharashtra. He is a B.Com graduate and devotedly and faithfully handles the administration and the accounts of Dwaar. Kailash is passionate about God, worship and service, he loves to play the guitar and sing psalms to his creator.

Kailash is a people’s man who loves to spend time with kids from the local communities, youth and students. He effectively serves the young people with fun; games and insights encouraging them stay away from evil and live a life of love and purpose.

Kailash is the glue that holds together much of the activities at Dwaar and efficiently makes picnics, tea, print outs, music sheets, prayer meetings, song sessions and kids work possible.

Kailash is married to Pooja, who is a trained beautician. She stands along with Kailash helping the youth and together they strike a friendly chord with the people in an around Lado Sarai and Kishangarh. Kailash carries the prime responsibility of Dwaar Satsang and all the activities in Lado Sarai

Rahul Dougall

 

Rahul is a quintessential ‘dilliwalla’. He has spent most of his life in the capital with forays to Mumbai to study management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). Rahul specializes in Marketing and Communications, having worked with Global Luxury brand CANALI as their Marketing Manager in India. Rahul is all too familiar with luxe brands and the interiors of plush showrooms but he remains grounded in his faith and remembers that Jesus worked among fishermen, carpenters and lepers.

Rahul has been actively involved in dramatics, debates and sports. He is full of energy and enjoys physical fitness, trekking and biking. No womder he is presently the marketing manager of Columbai Sportswear Company.

Quite the centre of activities among the Dwaar youth, Rahul loves spending time at Dwaar seeking to add value to society and see Delhi become a better city. He contributes his language skills and time very generously for Dwaar.

Jonathan Pillai

 

As a dad-in-training, a privileged husband of a wonderful woman and an accidental biomedical scientist, Jonathan's faith journey has seen him being directed by God's hands in unmistakable ways. After graduating in engineering from Pune, India, Jonathan got his PhD from the Ohio State University, and an advanced Fellowship in medical device innovation from Stanford University, USA.

Jonathan rediscovered his love for India and its people away from home, while interacting with interesting world cultures and international students, and felt compelled to return home after more than a decade overseas. He is excited about the opportunity to apply his skills as a Biomedical Engineer to improve health conditions for Indian society, and believes he is a better scientist because of his faith in the Creator of a structured universe. Jonathan is an Assistant Professor at the Translational Health Sciences and Technology Institute in Faridabad. 

He is married to a very warm and compassionate young woman, Alisa who has an amazing heart to serve children, especially orphans. They have a three year old daughter Annaliese who is an active part of the Dwaar dynamos.
